Antropología y desarrollo sostenible en el norte de Campeche

El objetivo principal del proyecto es realizar una investigación multidisciplinar acerca de la producción artesanal de miel y cerámica maya yucateca, hoy en vías de desaparición. En él, participarán representantes de disciplinas como la, geología, ecología, arqueología, biología, etnohistoria y antropología social. Su fin último es la integración de 5 comunidades muy depauperadas (Bécal, Tepakán, Nunkiní, Ex Hacienda Sta. Cruz y Tankuché en el desarrollo económico turístico sustentable del norte de Campeche, mediante la implantación de escuelas taller que revaloricen y conserven el acervo cultural maya.

Ello es viable gracias al conocimiento ya adquirido a través del estudio de los datos arqueológicos, etnográficos y etnohistóricos sobre la manufactura maya prehispánica y artesanal. La existencia de las Haciendas de Santa Cruz y Tankuché en el municipio de Calkiní, es un valor añadido ya que dota a la investigación de una infraestructura patrimonial de reconocido atractivo turístico.

The aim of this project is to carry out a multidisciplinary research project about the artisanal production of honey and Yucatecan Mayan ceramics, today in the process of disappearing. The development of the project is viable thanks to the knowledge already acquired through the study of archaeological, ethnographic and ethnohistoric data on pre-Hispanic and artisan Mayan manufacturing carried out in a first phase financed by the National Institute of Indigenous Peoples of the government of Mexico. The existence of the Haciendas de Santa Cruz and Tankuché in the municipality of Calkiní is an added value since it provides the research with a patrimonial infrastructure of recognized cultural value.
